7.43.3.1 Are there any potential risks of avoiding type 3 fonts when using matplotlib to draw figures

Many conferences/journals start asking me to use Type 1 font in the submitted PDF. So when I use matplotlib to generate figures, I have two choices: 
Configure matplotlib to only use tex fonts

7.43.3.2 My TeXstudio Console shows that pdflatex.exe is starting weird processes

It seems to be starting processes on random generated files like "bcJEyK".tex. 
As far as I can tell, these files don't even exist on my system.
