7.18.1.1 How can I draw the trefoil knot in 3D co-ordinates in Latex using these parametric equations?

When I use the parametric equations (according to Wikipedia) to plot a trefoil knot: 
x(t)=sint+2sin2t 
y(t)=costa^\210\2222cos2t 
z(t)=a^\210\222sin3t 
I get a plot that looks very different from the nice plot on ...
