I am writing a document, and I used \epsilon throughout. I would really like to change it to \varepsilon, but manually it would be quite a struggle.
So the question is whether I can put something in ...

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=566812

Since the last LaTeX Update, wrapping \document into another environment fails, possibly because of the new hook management system.
The following used to work:
\documentclass{article}
\newenvironment{...

6.58.1.3 What do \vec \mkern0mu x  and \vec    x  mean?

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=566414

In the following posts and many other besides [0] [1], I've seen people use \vec{\mkern0mu x}, \vec{{} x}, and variants thereof to adjust the vector arrow's kerning.
How do these work? What's the ...

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=566738

If I put the & on the right I get whitespace on the right. If I put the & on the left I get whitespace on the left. I can't find anything about this problem. I just want my matrices to look ...

6.58.1.7 Environments create commands? What am I missing?

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=566092

I was surprised to discover that when I create an environment in LaTex, a command of the same name is created. For example:
