I'm in a twoside environment and have two tikzpictures in figures at the top of each of two opposing pages. 
Is there a way to draw lines that connect the two tikzpictures across the two pages?

I want to make a dialogue between two people with the "commenting icon" in front of every sentence. I somewhat got what I want by using enumitem and fontawesome packages.

I just realized that all italics are missing in the main text of my book manuscript (using \textit{}). 
I narrowed the problem down to the use of Roboto Condensed as font.

Is there a way to vertically adjust the lower limits of the two sums below, such that 'p' and 'q' are vertically aligned?
