6.44.3.1 About the lineno package, starting from some point and no numbers beside titles

I'm trying to use the package lineno first time, but there are two problems I get: 
How to choose in a way when the linenumber starts? For example, I want it to start in Chapter 1, not in contents,  ...

6.44.3.3 pgfplotstable: How to highlight row and column of a cell with special content

If I say string replace={x}{\cellcolor{pink}x} a cell with content 'x' gets highlighted. 
But how to highlight the row and the column of 'x' too? 
\documentclass[]{article} 
\usepackage{pgfplotstable} 
... 
[tikz-pgf] [pgfplotstable] [highlighting]
