My book is being copy-edited and the copy editor is complaining about the spacing of fF.  I looked carefully at it and was indeed shocked.  I had initially incorrectly concluded that there is a  ...

Most latex tags have straightforward meanings, for instance, 
\sqrt stands for/comes from "square root" 
\equiv stands for/comes from "equivalent to" 
What does "rel" in \mathrel and \stackrel stands  ...
