https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/newsletter?cta=question&id=433859

In order to simulate a freehand construction, I decorate the sides either with random step or with bend right.
But the coloring is done on the angle whose sides are straight.
How to fill a decorated ...

4.19.1.2 Why not use \cr instead of \\ in tables?

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/newsletter?cta=question&id=433505

In plain TeX \cr is used to mark the end of a row in a table.
In LaTeX \\ is usually used instead.
\\ takes an optional argument, which \cr does not support. But I never use that anyway, I prefer ...

I am really puzzled about the impacts or side-effects of the nonlinear
transformations. Consider the MWE

4.19.1.4 Make Legendre symbols the same size

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/newsletter?cta=question&id=433837

I've been having a bit of trouble typesetting (n-th power) Legendre symbols. I've set up the command
\newcommand{\Leg}[3][]{\left(\frac{#2}{#3}\right)_{#1}}
But, when I type e.g.

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/newsletter?cta=question&id=433746

I'm trying to replicate the following tree in LaTeX:
I'm having problems, because (1) I never drew a tree diagram with 90A^\272 degrees branches, like this, and (2) I never drew a tree diagram together ...

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/newsletter?cta=question&id=433486

I'm getting slightly desperate because the following seemingly simple macro does not do what I want:
\newcommand{\Ma}[1][]{\ensuremath{M_{1}^{#1}}\xspace}
Hello $\Ma{a}$.
I would expect that  ...
