I know that I can use hyperref to make cross-references and hyperlinks clickable. That makes the clickable areas outlined in fluorescent green, however. How can I make the green boxes go away?

11.14.2.2 Dictionary for TeXstudio: 'No dictionary Available'

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=87650

I have trouble spell checking my document in TeXstudio. When I press spellcheck, I get the error No dictionary Available. Am I supposed to install a dictionary separately? How? Any suggestion?

11.14.2.3 How to add todo notes?

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=9796

Is there a simple way to add todo notes to LaTeX documents ?
I would like to have these notes in red in the generated pdf and a simple syntax to write them.

11.14.2.4 making appendix for thesis

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=49643

I need some help with creating an appendix for my thesis. I have about 10 figures which need to be in the appendix. I have a good appendix with the following code:
\appendix
\addcontentsline{toc}{...

11.14.2.5 How do I put text over symbols?

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=74125

This is difficult for me to explain, but how do I put words over a symbol? For instance, I want to add words over an equal sign. Anyone know the command/syntax for that?
Also adding ^ doesn't cut it.....

11.14.2.6 Force figure placement in text

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=8625

I have a problem when a lot of figures are in question. Some figures tend to "fly around", that is, be a paragraph below, although I placed them before that paragraph. I use code:
\begin{figure}[ht]
\...

11.14.2.7 How can I get bold math symbols?

https://tex.stackexchange.com/landing/r/digest?cta=question&id=595

To make Latin-letter variables bold I can use e.g. \mathbf{a}, but while putting Greek letters or symbols such as \nabla inside \mathbf doesn't cause any errors or warnings, it also doesn't do ...
