10.64.3 Can you answer these questions?

10.64.3.1 Beamer and sans-serif fonts through Helvetica, how to make \sf, \textsf, \mathsf to look the same?

I am working on a beamer document, where I would like Computer Modern serif fonts for all serif items, but would like Helvetica for any sans-serif items.

I meet a problem when use \isnumeric function in coolstring package. After compilation with pdflatex engine, nothing is output in pdf file. Below is the code.
