Suddenly, I'm getting this error message when using newtx: 
Improper `at' size (0.0pt), replaced by 10pt. 
Here is a minimal example where this happens: 
\documentclass[12pt]{article} 
\usepackage{newtx}

As far as I know, LaTeX uses four sizes for delimiters: \big, \Big, \bigg and \Bigg (in addition to the normal text size). I through that automatic sizing done by \left ... \right chose on of these. ...
