9.8.3 Can you answer these questions?

9.8.3.1 \ShellEscape fails in certain cases with lualatex

I think I've isolated the issue to the following. minted relies on \ShellEscape ...

9.8.3.3 Beamer section title slides

I want to have a section title slide before each section (but not a full TOC), but I don't want the slide to display the default "Section 1" above the title, as does the following MWE:
