8.45.3.2 PGFPlots: Custom date labels misaligned

I tried to label the date axis by year and quarters, adapting code found here. But the result does not come out properly aligned. Looks like the ticks are offset. Thanks for your suggestions.

8.45.3.3 How can I use apacite to write the source of a figure?

I would like to add my source + references to my figures in the APA style. 
I am not sure if apacite is the correct package but I would like to have a clickable line under my figures saying: 'source: ...
