How do I insert the line "|" after the equation in LaTeX (see image below)?

How can you get the argmin or argmax in Latex? Two solutions I found are: 
\underset{x}{\operatorname{argmax}} 
\DeclareMathOperator*{\argmin}{arg\,min} 
Any other ideas?
