At the moment I'm having a problem when trying to view my LaTeX file as a PDF. Whether I do it internal or external I both the error "File not found.". 
I have no idea what file it means. I've read ...

I have a table that is just a little too wide for a 3.33" column. Is there a way to simply shrink the table a little to make it fit? I'm OK if the 10pt font becomes 9pt-something. Here is an example.

is this one

But I don't know how to write this one

I have the following towards the end of an article. The bibliography is short (4 entries). 
What's happening is that on the very last page of document I get the chart and immediately afterwards the ... 
[floats] [page-breaking]

I want the equation number to be shown only at the last line, or better, somewhere in the middle of all. So instead of (1), (2), ... only (1). 
I use \begin{align} ... \end{align}
