I took this course in winter 2005 at Univ. Of California, Irvine (UCI). This was an undergraduate course in the mechanical engineering dept.
The course is mainly a hands on course in designing basic control system using basic electrical and mechanical components. The lab was a lot of work, many times we spent most of the time trying to get the circuit to work after building it. Knowing how use the oscilliscope is really usefull for this course.
