You may receive up to 10% extra credit on lab assignment 4 if you submit two additional GIF images using the Canny edge detector (input images must be the same as for the Marr operator). Hi folks, Here is the grading scheme for EECS207A/BME295 (percentages represent the weight for each assignment): Labs 10% + 10% + 0% + 5% + 10% + 15% = 50% Exams 20% + 30% = 50% Lab 1+2 were graded as follows: - Part 1 (correctness): 40% - Part 2 (correctness): 40% - Oral explanation: 20% Lab 3 was not graded, because it was merely a practical exercise. Lab 4 carries a lower weight because the effort was significantly lower than the other assignments. Lab 6 will carry a higher weight, because it will require more time. There will be no lab assignments during the week of the midterm (Nov. 4, 2pm - 3:20pm, SST120). The final will be on Dec. 9, 1:30pm - 3:30pm, SST120. Instead of a written test, you may opt for a final project. The project will be assigned approx. 2.5 weeks before the end of the quarter. You may choose a topic from a list that will be provided, or you may suggest your own topic (instructor's approval required). Please understand that if you're not officially enrolled in this course through the Registrar's Office or University Extension, or if you're just auditing the class, your homework and exams cannot be graded. Extra credit: You may receive up to 10% extra credit for additional efforts, such as extra homework in addition to the assignment, a 2-page written report, etc. Please coordinate with me on what is acceptable for extra credit. If extra credit is given, everybody gets the same chance to submit extra work. Extra credit can be used to make up for missing points in past or future lab assignments.
