4 How to obtain the poles and zeros of an LTI from its transfer function?

Problem: Find the zeros, poles, and gain for the continuos time system defined by the transfer function

$\displaystyle H(s)=\frac{25}{s^{2}+4s+25}%
$

In both Matlab and Mathematica, I used the a function already written in the specialized control systems toolbox/package to solve this. In Maple, there is no such package, so I quickly wrote a zpk() function to solve it. This function still needs more improvements to make it more robust.
